abriel Jesus says “a lot of things are going on” as Arsenal dropped points for the third game in a row.

While late goals from Martin Odegaard and Bukayo Saka saw the Gunners emerge from Friday’s dramatic Premier League clash against Southampton with a point, it piled more pressure on Wednesday’s trip to Manchester City.

Mikel Arteta’s side fell behind to an early goal after Aaron Ramsdale mistake in the first minute allowed Carlos Alcaraz to give the Saints an unlikely lead.

Former Gunner Theo Walcott scored a second not long after before Gabriel Martinelli fired one back in response.

Duje Caleta-Car restored the visitors’ two-goal advantage after the break before Odegaard and Saka struck in the dying embers of the game.

“A lot of things is [are] going on now,” said the Brazilian to Sky Sports.

“We don’t want to come here and talk negative because we are very positive, what we are doing this season is amazing. The Premier League is tough.”

“Now is the difficult moment. It is time now to stick together until the end. We still have a lot of things to do this season, it is not over, we are still five points clear.

“Manchester City have two games in hand but if we want to be champions we have to go there to win the game – that is all.

The draw means Arsenal have taken three points from a possible nine after draws against Liverpool and West Ham.

They head to City looking to avenge February’s loss to the champions in poor form but, despite the problems, Jesus insisted Arsenal remain alive in the title race.

“We are the youngest team in the league, not making excuses. Sometimes we do right and sometimes we do wrong, everyone can make mistakes that is why it is so important to stick together.

“Everything can happen. Obviously we are not happy with the last three games, we dropped points and we know this is true, no one has to tell us. We dropped a little bit of our level and focus, this is the Premier League, it is so difficult to win this competition.

“We are still there, we are still fighting and we will fight until the end.”
