U.S. Attorney General Merrick Garland on Friday said Delaware U.S. Attorney David Weiss had authority in the Hunter Biden case, and that he could not be blocked from doing his job. “I don’t know how it would be possible for anybody to block him from bringing a prosecution, given that he has this authority,” Garland told reporters, following a whistleblower’s claim that the Justice Department slowed the case against President Joe Biden’s son. IRS agent Gary Shapley offered a detailed account of prosecutors who were either timid or uninterested when it came to examining the financial misdeeds of Hunter Biden, as the Washington Post reported. Hunter Biden on Tuesday made a tentative deal with federal prosecutors to plead guilty to two misdemeanor tax charges and admit to the facts of a gun charge.
