Tom Mundy, co-founder of Goodlord, has stepped down nine years after he started the company with co-founder Richard White in 2014.
Goodlord, which has more than 200 employees and a turnover in 2021, of £11.2m, has developed a tenant onboarding platform and has an insurance arm. The company acquired tenant referencing company Vouch in 2020, Acasa in 2021 and Halo, a moving app for tenants, earlier this year.
Mundy has stepped down from his role as chief operating officer to “explore new challenges”. His co-founder, Richard White, resigned as CEO in 2017, though he retains a title of president of the business, which is now headed up by CEO William Reeve.
Mundy said: “It was an honour and privilege to help grow Goodlord over its first 9 years. From the kernel of ambition to make renting better for all, to the UK’s fastest growing RentTech platform; it’s been quite the journey. I look back at my time at Goodlord with nothing but fondness and wish the whole team the best as they continue to transform the sector for the better.”
Reeve, added: “Tom was instrumental to the business’ success, and we are very grateful to him for countless contributions over his nine years. Thanks to the talent we have across our team and the strength of our business, we are past the point where anybody is irreplaceable, but Tom will certainly be a hard act to follow.”
