NEWCASTLE’S Champions League group of death was thrown wide open with a home defeat to Borussia Dortmund.
Felix Nmecha fired the visitors in front on the stroke of half-time with a classy finish inside the far post after a devastating Dortmund counter.

Nick Pope had earlier made a tremendous double save to keep it level while Anthony Gordon hit Gregor Kobel in the chest at the other end.
Sub Callum Wilson, who replaced Alexander Isak in the first half, should have equalised soon after half-time but struck his close-range effort too close to the goalkeeper.
And with five minutes to go, Wilson came agonisingly within a whisker to making it 1-1 but his glancing header bounced back off the crossbar.
Then in the fourth and final minute of injury time, the Toon hit the woodwork again when Gordon’s deflected shot looped over the goalkeeper in a dramatic finale.
