Heavy Russian attacks on Ukrainian energy facilities has left more than 28,000 without power near to the frontlines.
Thousands of people who live in villages and towns in the frontlines of Kherson and Donetsk in the east have been hit the hardest because of heavy bombardments.
The Energy Ministry said that fighting has left many places without power in the eastern Donetsk regions.
The Energy Ministry said in a statement, “As a result of shelling in Kherson city, more than 28,000 consumers were cut off.
“Almost 3,000 consumers were left without electricity in the region over the past day due to shelling.”
They added, “As a result of the shelling, an overhead line was damaged, and the city of Kostyantynivka was cut off. In total, 122 settlements remain without electricity in the region.”
