Here are Tuesday’s biggest calls on Wall Street: Goldman Sachs reiterates Nvidia as buy Goldman Sachs said it is standing by its buy rating after day one of the company’s GTC Conference on Monday. “We reiterate our Buy rating on NVDA (also on the Conviction List) with an updated 12-month price target of $1,000 (up from $875 prior).” Deutsche Bank reiterates Charles Schwab as buy Deutsche Bank raised its price target on the stock to $77 per share from $75. “We continue to expect SCHW to grow EPS by more than 40% in 2025, to record levels, and over 30% in 2026 – thus, our view on the company’s robust earnings rebound as high-cost borrowing is paid down remains well anchored.” Deutsche Bank adds a catalyst call buy on Northern Trust Deutsche Bank said it sees a short-term buy idea for the regional bank. The firm maintained its long-term hold rating. “We are initiating a Buy Catalyst Call on Northern Trust hedged against the S & P 500 Index.” Bernstein reiterates Apple as market perform Bernstein said it is cautious after reports emerged that Apple was in talks to license Google’s Gemini. “We are not surprised that Apple is looking to potentially partner with Google on AI capabilities. Going it alone – or with another partner – would risk a highly profitable and proven revenue stream with Google today.” Barclays upgrades 3M to overweight from equal weight Barclays said its sees a bottoming and a slew of positive catalysts ahead. “We raise our Price Target due to a higher target valuation multiple (to embed the higher potential for margin expansion as a CEO transition looms), and a lower estimate for MMM’s non-debt / environmental liabilities.” Redburn Atlantic Equities downgrades MongoDB and Snowflake to sell from neutral Redburn downgraded the stocks mainly on valuation. ” Snowflake and MongoDB lack a clear Gen-AI advantage, posing a budget reallocation risk that their current valuations do not reflect. Thus, we downgrade both to Sell from Neutral.” Redburn Atlantic Equities upgrades Cooper Companies to buy from neutral Redburn said the ophthalmology and surgical company is well-positioned for share gains. ” Cooper is set for continued share gains in a healthy contact lens market, and we see further benefit from pricing and mix in FY24.” Citi adds Honeywell to the focus list Citi added the stock to its large-cap recommended list. “We are adding Honeywell International Inc (HON) to our US Large Cap Recommended List, replacing Union Pacific Corp (UNP).” Jefferies initiates Zoom as hold Jefferies said the teleconferencing company remains in “transition” right now. ” ZM has established itself as one of the go-to collab platforms, but remains in transition.” Mizuho initiates Home Depot as buy Mizuho said Home Depot is best-positioned. “Moving beyond sector digestion phase with comps set to inflect in 2H24E, best positioned in the more complex pro market L-T [long term].” Baird initiates Alkermes as outperform Baird said the neuroscience biopharma company is well-positioned. “We’re initiating coverage of ALKS with an Outperform rating and a $37 price target.” UBS reiterates Boeing as buy UBS said the risks are already priced in for Boeing shares. “There is a great deal of uncertainty around regulator actions, MAX production rates, MAX-7 and -10 certification (amongst other items), which has made the stock difficult to own for many investors.” Loop reiterates Best Buy as buy Loop said the electronics giant is a “stealth housing play.” “We believe the latter is particularly encouraging given the fact the Federal Reserve’s rate cut campaign has yet to commence, and believe Buy-rated Best Buy offers an attractive ‘derivative play’ on improved home sales given the company’s appliance and television businesses and inexpensive relative valuation.” UBS reiterates Micron as buy UBS said it is standing by its buy rating on the stock heading into earnings on Wednesday. “We see results biased to the high-end of guidance ( MU did not positive pre-announce) with revenue/GM likely guided $6-6.1B/high teens (midpt) – a number that we think will be viewed as ‘okay’ but not ‘great’ by most investors.” KeyBanc initiates GitLab and JFrog as overweight KeyBanc initiated the software companies as overweight and said it sees robust growth. “We are launching coverage of DevOps with a positive view but favor stories where we have a higher degree of confidence in 20% growth, leading to our Overweight ratings for GTLB and FROG , and Sector Weight ratings for TEAM and HCP.” Raymond James upgrades Delek Logistics to outperform from market perform Raymond James said the pipeline refining company is nearing a bottom. “Upgrading DKL from Market Perform to Outperform: Opportunistic upgrade as DKL trades near the bottom of a 3+ year range, valuation looks more attractive.” UBS upgrades Cognex to buy from neutral UBS said the systems software company is “high quality growth at a discount.” “We upgrade CGNX to Buy, as we see an increasingly unique opportunity to own high quality growth at a discount.” UBS upgrades Chart Industries to buy from neutral UBS said in its upgrade of Chart that the gas and liquid company is seeing improved execution. “Upgrade to Buy as execution improves and leverage drops.” JPMorgan upgrades Endava to overweight from neutral JPMorgan said the risk/reward is more attractive for the software company. “We upgrade Endava from Neutral to Overweight as the stock has been severely punished following the recent guidance cut, and the risk/reward is now much more attractive…” Morgan Stanley initiates Inspire Medical Systems as overweight Morgan Stanley said the sleep apnea company is well-positioned. “With a solid track record of execution, multiple catalysts on the horizon, and an emerging profitability profile, we think INSP is well-placed to exceed Street estimates over the mid-term.” Bank of America initiates Avis Budget as buy Bank of America said it sees an attractive entry point for the car rental company. “We initiate coverage on CAR at Buy with a $170 PO, implying 55%+ upside. We think the stock is at an attractive entry point amid recent weakness.” Stephens downgrades Fifth Third to equal weight from overweight Stephens said it sees less upside for the regional bank. “We feel Fifth Third will maintain its fundamental ranking among peers but see less upside in price and are lowering our rating to EW from OW.” Stephens upgrades Truist to overweight from equal weight Stephens said it sees a slew of positive catalysts ahead for shares of Truist. “Upgrading to OW; Embedded Opportunities to Increase ROTCE [Return on Average Tangible Common Shareholders’ Equity].” Guggenheim initiates Accenture as buy Guggenheim said the IT company is well-positioned for shareholder returns. “While near-term revenue softness is apparent, over the medium-term, we see ACN as among the best positioned to capture secular demand themes given its end-to-end service offerings, investments ahead of demand trends, and durable capital allocation framework balancing acquisitions and shareholder return.” Wells Fargo reiterates Starbucks as overweight Wells Fargo said it is standing by shares of Starbucks. “Innovation could be a powerful 2H driver, and we see improving risk/reward and multiple ways to win.”
