Although Trump announced new tariffs, including 25% on South Korea this week, Hyundai is vowing not to raise vehicle prices in the US. On Friday, Hyundai launched its new Customer Assurance program in response to the “dynamic market conditions” and uncertainty in the auto industry.

Through the initiative, Hyundai vehicles in the US will not see price hikes over the next two months. The protection window starts today, April 4, and ends on June 2, 2025.

Hyundai Motor’s CEO, José Muñoz, said, “We know consumers are uncertain about the potential for rising prices, and we want to provide them with some stability in the coming months.”

Hyundai’s luxury brand, Genesis, launched a similar program on Friday. The Genesis Cares Initiative also protects vehicle prices in the US until June 2, 2025.

The program comes just two weeks after Hyundai announced plans to invest $21 billion to boost US operations and promote EV adoption.

Hyundai also celebrated the grand opening of its $12.6 billion Metaplant America EV manufacturing plant, the largest economic development project in Georgia state history. The company plans to build up to 500,000 Hyundai, Kia, and Genesis vehicles annually at the facility.

Although it just celebrated its grand opening, Hyundai has been building the new 2025 IONIQ 5 at the plant since October. The upgraded IONIQ 5 now has up to 318 miles of range and an NACS port for charging at Tesla Superchargers.

With its first three-row electric SUV, the IONIQ 9, now in production, it’s expected to launch in the US any day. Its “lounge-like” interior has more space than the Kia EV9, with up to 1,322 liters of cargo space.

Like the 2025 IONIQ 5, Hyundai’s larger electric SUV will have an NACS charging port. It will also have an EPA-estimated driving range of up to 335 miles from a massive 110.3 kWh battery pack.
