A ticket to Glastonbury Festival in 2050 could set you back £869, new inflation research has shown.

The price of a Glastonbury ticket has been raised a staggering £75 in the past two years, with tickets for next year’s festival costing music fans £355 plus a £5 booking fee.

As festival goers prepare to get their hands on tickets to the UK’s biggest festival, new research from Saxo shows how much a standard Glastonbury ticket could cost in 2050 based on the average inflation rate of 2.45% over the past 27 years.

Coach tickets go on sale 6pm GMT on Thursday 2nd November ahead of the general sale on Sunday 5th November, with tickets including entry to the full five day festival from Wednesday June 26th to Sunday June 30th 2024.

By 2050 the same ticket could cost you £869 with a £12 booking fee.

Glastonbury also gives visitors the opportunity to add extras to their tickets. Taking a campervan currently costs £200 for a standard pitch and £300 for a large pitch, but by 2050 this could cost £490 or £735.

Those who enjoy a little more luxury can also buy a tipi for the weekend which houses six adults on the festival site. On top of your festival ticket this will cost you £1750 but by 2050 will cost a startling £4287.
