Israel is to mobilise over 400,000 soldiers as the Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is planning a full military occupation of the Gaza Strip and is intent on ridding the region of terrorists.

Netanyahu has vowed to “free Gaza from Hamas” as he will use the Israeli Defence Force (IDF) to expand the war.

Israel currently controls around 70% of Gaza and the Defence Minister Israel Katz has been ordered to call up around 430,000 reservists to fight in the region.

The Unite Nations Security Council and the British Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer have openly criticised Jerusalem.

Gaza’s health ministry has said more than 60,000 Palestinian lives have been lost since Israel started their military campaign.

On Sunday Israeli Attorney General Gali Baharav-Miara said that Israel has no alternative but mobilise reservists, i24 reported.

Netanyahu told journalists, “This is the best way to end the war, and the best way to end it speedily.”

“Our goal is not to occupy Gaza, our goal is to free Gaza.”

The Israeli Prime Minister’s goal is to have complete military control of Gaza by expanding the conflict.

Netanyahu’s military campaign will start on a “fairly short timetable” which is aimed at dismantling the last two Hamas strongholds in Gaza City and “the central camps,” troops will create corridors and safe zones allowing Palestinians to leave.

Netanyahu said, “Israel has no choice but to finish the job and complete the defeat of Hamas. Now, we’ve done a great deal. We have about 70 to 75 per cent of Gaza under Israeli control, military control.

“But we have two remaining strongholds, OK? These are Gaza City and the central camps in Al Mawasi.”

Once Hamas has been destroyed Gaza will be demilitarised and Israel will be keep “security responsibility” and a “non-Israeli civilian administration” will be formed within 24 hours, Netanyahu confirmed.

Speaking on Friday, Starmer said: “This action will do nothing to bring an end to this conflict or to help secure the release of the hostages. It will only bring more bloodshed.”

Starmer warned the humanitarian crisis will deepen for the kidnapped hostages who are being held in “inhuman conditions.”

Starmer added, “What we need is a ceasefire, a surge in humanitarian aid, the release of all hostages by Hamas and a negotiated solution. Hamas can play no part in the future of Gaza and must leave as well as disarm.
