Jefferies Financial Group Inc. [s: jef] said Tuesday it competed the distribution of Vitesse Energy Inc. [s: vts] to shareholders and that Vitesse will begin regular trading on the New York Stock Exchange as an independent, publicly traded company. Prior to the distribution, Vitesse acquired all of the issued and outstanding equity interests of Vitesse Energy LLC and Vitesse Oil LLC. Jefferies shareholders received one share of Vitesse common stock for every 8.49668 Jefferies common shares held at the close of business on Dec. 27. Shares of Jefferies are up 0.6% in premarket trades. Vitesse shares will begin regular trading on Tuesday after trading on a when-issued basis.
