The Reds rounded off the Premier League weekend with a ruthless 6-1 win at Elland Road to move within six points of the top six.
While this season has been littered with inconsistency, Liverpool have game in hand on Aston Villa in sixth and sent out a statement of intent on Monday night.
Mohamed Salah and Diogo Jota both scored braces while Cody Gakpo and Darwin Nunez also got on the scoresheet, with Luis Sinisterra’s goal proving scant consolation for Leeds.
The victory was Liverpool’s first on the road since February and brought an end to their five-game run without a win.
“I think it’s the best game we’ve played this season from all different perspectives and aspects of the game,” the German said.
“I think we forced a lot of errors but it was a really good game, sensational goals and counter-pressing – it was the best game for a long time.
The game also saw Trent Alexander-Arnold continue in the midfield role he occupied in Sunday’s draw with Arsenal.

/ APOf the England man’s positioning, Klopp added: “He can be both [a midfielder and a right-back] but in general you are right we need to be better protected as well because we concede too many counter-attacks.
“Trent played a really good game but when we lost the ball the reaction was a lot different. All players we must be able to protect and for that the formations suits us much better.”
