Kremlin backed media has claimed that the US President could hold Vladimir Putin “hostage” as they are due to meet in Alaska on Friday evening to discuss ending the war in Ukraine.

A pro-Putin news outlet, Moskovskij Komsomolets columnist Vyacheslav Novorossiysky has claimed that the meeting between Putin and Trump could be a catalyst for a full-scale World War.

Novorossiysky said that Putin is “hostage number one, Considering the current international situation, it is entirely possible (the Russian leader could be taken as a hostage).”

This comes as the ICC issued an international arrest warrant for the Russian dictator for the unlawful deportation of Ukrainian children to Russia, Moscow said that this is “outrageous.”

The ICC also issued an arrest warrant for Russia’s commissioner for children’s rights, Maria Lvova-Belova for the same war crime.

In July 2022 Russia’s former President Dmitry Medvedev warned that the “existence of mankind” is under threat and said the ICC should be careful attacking a country who has the “largest nuclear potential.”

He pointed out to the ICC that they never punished the US for their global aggression and they should refrain from trying to “legal void” actions against Moscow.

“And potentially threatens the existence of mankind.”

He branded the US as a “daredevil or an idiot” accusing them of trying to “sow chaos and destruction” through the ICC.

Despite certain periods of Trump’s ostentatious ‘friendly’ rhetoric towards Putin, public squabbles with Zelensky and reassuring articles in the Western press about Washington allegedly planning to ‘surrender’ Kyiv, in reality the flow of American military aid to the Ukrainian regime has not stopped for a single day.

“This raises a key question: what will Moscow do if force majeure occurs during the negotiations overseas and an attempt is made to hold the Russian president against his will?

“Such a step would automatically become a casus belli, an indisputable reason to start a war, and against the backdrop of the threat of a direct attack on the president, the Russian military command will most likely put its strategic deterrent forces — missile systems, aircraft, fleets, including nuclear weapons — on full combat alert.”

He added that should this happen this could be the catalyst for a scale World War as he claims India and China will not “remain modestly remain silent on the sidelines.”

The Kremlin media is warning that Trump could have Putin arrested as there is an international arrest warrant for the Russian dictator that was issued by the International Criminal Court (ICC), even though America does not abide by the ICC.

He said: “An attempt to arrest Putin will be formally considered a pretext for open war. Any forces participating in or supporting the arrest will automatically become targets for retaliatory actions.

“Simply put, any such move by the US will not go without an immediate, comprehensive and extremely harsh response from Russia – from diplomacy and sanctions to threats and demonstrations of military power.”
