The Kremlin has issued a warning that the war in Ukraine could “spread to Moldova” as they are making a “serious mistake.”
The Kremlin’s spokesman Dmitry Peskov warned Moldova not to suffer the same destiny as Ukraine, which comes after the pro-European Action and Solidarity Party (PAS) won the majority in the recent elections.
Moscow is accusing Chisinau of being antagonistic toward Russia and Vladimir Putin has voiced his concerns that President Maia Sandu won the election instead of a pro-Russian leader.
President Sandu backs PAS and they were able to secure more than 50% of the votes on 28 September.
