Kupyansk is one of “the hottest on the entire front line,” but Russian force have no strategic successes currently.
Ukrainian forces are on the defensive, said Volodymyr Fityo, head of the public relations service of the Command of the Ground Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
Fityo said at a briefing, “Of course, we see that this direction is one of the hottest on the entire front line.

“The enemy aims to re-occupy Kupyansk, it is an important logistics center through which provisions and ammunition were supplied during the last occupation.”
He insisted that currently Russian forces have no strategic successes in the direction of Kupyansk.

He said that Ukrainian Armed Forces reported the past day, Russian troops have suffered 112 military losses in Kupyansk direction.
Also around 28 units of Russian military equipment was destroyed, of which five tanks and four armored personnel carriers (APCs).
Russian troops twice attacked near to Synkivka and they were hit with eight airstrikes using 16 kamikaze drones that conducted 736 attacks in total, of which four were from MLRS units.
He added, “The situation on the front line as a whole has worsened since the beginning of the month.
“In Kupyansk direction, we observed the enemy, saw his preparations, saw that the enemy was gathering his forces and resources. We were also preparing, strengthening, and pulling up reserves.”
