It has been reported that Vladimir Putin is “seething” over Ukraine’s invasion of Russia as dozens of settlements (villages) have been captured and fierce battles are underway in the Kursk region.

IStories reported that Putin has sent troops to defend the Kursk Nuclear Power Plant as Ukrainian forces are approaching the facility.

Russian troops blocked off the entrances to the nuclear facility on Friday and Russian personnel were evacuated from the plant and female Russian National Guard remain.

Speaking to Russian media outlet Politika.Kozlov a Kremlin official said Kyiv’s invasion of the Kursk Oblast region as “made Putin nervous” which has been seen as a “slap in the face.”

“This is a slap in the face for the president. We have been unable to push the enemy back,” the Kremlin official added.

“A danger to the population has been created in Russia’s regions. European gas has gone up in price. This is not how a country confident of its victory behaves.”

Putin’s forces are struggling to beat back Ukrainian troops despite sending tanks, trucks laden with soldiers.

Senior politician, Adalbi Shkhagoshev has blamed the UK and NATO in helping with the invasion, he told Russian media, “Britain participated in all such sorties. English was heard.”

A key ally to Putin, the Chechen leader Ramzan Kadyrov said that intelligence he has received has revealed that there is “a lot of foreigners” invading the Kursk region.

The acting governor, Alexey Smirnov wrote on Telegram, “The situation in the Kursk Region remains difficult.

“In cooperation with the social services and non-governmental organizations a system of assistance to internally displaced persons has been organized.”
