Reform UK is the most favourable political party in the UK and Nigel Farage has the best favourability rating in the House of Commons, according to a new poll.
A survey carried out by Ipsos shows Farage is 20% ahead of the Tory leader, Kemi Badenoch, 29% ahead of Ed Davey and 24% ahead of Keir Starmer.
Reform UK’s favourability rating stands at 29% which is the political party’s highest ever, the Express reports.
The Prime Minister’s rating is plummeting and 53% of voters would not vote the party back in, whilst the Chancellor, Rachel Reeves stands at 47% of being unfavourable, Labour has fallen 21 points over the past year.
With Labour in power 58% of voters are saying the UK is going in the wrong direction and after the controversial Autumn Budget many economists are warning we could be heading into another recession.
On Monday the Reform UK leader Farage, the billionaire former Tory donor Nick Candy and Elon Musk held talks.
They all met at the US President elect, Donald Trump’s Florida resort Mar-A-Lago and “held” discussions over the “Trump ground game” and suggested they spoke about “ongoing discussions on other areas.”
Rumours have been swirling that the SpaceX founder Musk could donate $100 million to Farage’s Reform UK party.
Farage said that the Tesla chief “left us in no doubt that he is right behind us” and there is now “ongoing negotiations” of a financial donation.
The Express reported, Ipsos Director of Politics Keiran Pedley said, “As 2024 draws to a close it has undoubtedly been a successful year for the Labour Party, having won a landslide election win in July.
“However, their favourability ratings have fallen since then and with the Conservatives still unpopular there is an opportunity for Reform UK to take advantage. Whether they can do so – and broaden their appeal further – remains to be seen.”
