Latest round of layoffs at Alphabet targets YouTube: report

YouTube is shaving an unspecified number of jobs, according to multiple reports, the latest sign of belt-tightening at Google parent Alphabet Inc.

According to The Verge, Alphabet Chief Business Officer Mary Ellen Coe made the announcement Wednesday in an internal memo. Last week, more than 1,000 people were laid off from Alphabet.
