It’s final day prospects on the line for both teams at Elland Road as Leeds look to avoid relegation and Spurs try to qualify for Europe. It’s been a torrid season for both teams, but the hosts face the very real prospect of dropping out of the league. Leeds must win and hope Everton lose to Bournemouth and Leicester at best draw with West Ham.
For Spurs, last season’s top-four finish feels like a distant memory as they face they worst league finish in 18 years. To finish in the top seven, and qualify for the Europa Conference League, they must better Aston Villa’s result to Brighton – summing up a miserable campaign in N17.
Today could also prove to be a final match in Spurs colours for a number of players ahead of an expected summer squad overhaul, though is Harry Kane one of them? Follow the game LIVE below with our dedicated match blog, featuring expert insight and analysis from Dan Kilpatrick at Elland Road.
Live updates
Elland Road is pumping. The fans are doing their part.
The teams are heading back in. Kick-off soon.
It’s quite a bold move – or perhaps not – from Allardyce to name six defenders for a game which Leeds must win.
Rob Green said: “I watched last week against West Ham and West Ham were in second gear and managed to score. Leeds didn’t put any pressure on and it felt like the belief just seeped out of the side.”
Paul Robinson added: “Spurs have been so poor, especially away from home. They seem like a rudderless ship at the moment, they really do.
“There’s a lot of people talking about the managerial situation but I think the play needs looking at too.”
Europa Conference League permutations
So what do Tottenham need to qualify for the Europa League.
If Aston Villa win, then it’s all over.
If Aston Villa draw, a win would be enough.
If Aston Villa lose, a draw would be enough due to Spurs’ superior goal difference.
Is this goodbye for Harry Kane too?
He has recently been talking like a man who will be there next season, but will also be in the final year on his contract and Manchester United are sniffing around.
Whatever happens, you wouldn’t rule out a final-day special from Kane. He usually comes up trumps to end the season with a florish.
Leeds make one change for their do-or-die game as Patrick is unable to be fit in time for Cooper comes in. Rodrigo starts.
Tottenham also make one change from the loss at Brentford as Porro replaces Danjuma.

Here we go then.
