Safeagent, the not for profit accreditation service, has seen two of its letting qualifications officially recognised by exam watchdog Ofqual.

Ofqual has officially recognised the accreditation scheme’s Level 2 Foundation Lettings Course [England] and Level 3 Award in Letting and Property Management [England] qualifications. Safeagent as an organisation has also become an Ofqual recognised Awarding Body.

This adds to safeagent’s already established bank of industry-recognised content for agents across the UK.

Safeagent is already recognised as a training provider by Rent Smart Wales, as well as offering recognised training for agents on the Scottish Register.

Isobel Thomson, chief executive of safeagent, said: “Achieving Ofqual recognition is an important milestone for safeagent, and highlights our commitment to high standards when it comes to professional development.

“From helping landlords and tenants to navigate their rights and responsibilities, to expanding specialism and soft skills, professional development is crucial to maintaining the integrity of the PRS.

“The PRS is a complex regulatory environment with regional nuances across the UK. safeagent works closely with regulatory bodies in Scotland, Wales and England to ensure our agents can navigate those nuances with confidence.

“And it helps agents stand out in what’s a challenging and competitive market, too. But it must be flexible and accessible enough to make participation easier, not onerous on top of already busy schedules that agents have.”

“Our qualifications are fully online to ensure that our agents can stay on top of new industry training, while building a programme that suits them. And we can see that in the results – all our courses have a high satisfaction rate.”

“It’s clear that our agents see the value of high quality training in delivering excellent service. Ofqual recognition only helps to reinforce that they have access to the resources they need to succeed in supporting the delivery of great quality rental homes.”
