iogo Jota is pushing to start for Liverpool against Greuther Furth after his impressive cameo off the bench.

The Reds began their pre-season fixture list with a 4-2 win over German side Karlsruher and now take on Furth in a behind-closed-doors clash, before the focus shifts to sterner tests against Leicester and Bayern Munich.

Jota scored twice and provided an assist as a substitute last time out and could come into the starting lineup, with Cody Gakpo also potentially getting his chance to lead the line in place of Darwin Nunez.
