Lomond has completed the acquisition of Homesure Property, a Liverpool-based lettings and estate agency.

Homesure operates from three locations across Liverpool and employs around 30 staff, managing more than 1,700 properties in the city and surrounding areas. The deal strengthens Lomond’s position in the North West and expands its presence in one of the UK’s largest regional rental markets.

Founded in 2007 by Steven Kenny, the business grew both organically and through five acquisitions from 2016 onwards under the leadership of Kenny, Nick Stott and Mark Loughnane.

Following the acquisition, Homesure will continue to operate under its existing brand and will become Lomond’s regional hub in Liverpool. The business will sit within Lomond’s Midlands and North West division under the oversight of Paul Clarke, the group’s chief revenue officer for the region.

Nick Stott and Mark Loughnane will remain in their roles alongside the wider team, with the agency continuing to operate as before for clients and partners.

Loughnane said:  “Nick and I are incredibly proud of the journey Homesure has taken so far. Our ethos, values and commitment to clients remain at the heart of everything we do.  And crucially, that isn’t changing: Homesure is still Homesure. With Lomond’s backing, we’re ideally positioned to help clients navigate the new legislative landscape and continue to deliver outstanding service.”

Stott commented:  “This partnership with Lomond is a win-win, for our clients, who will benefit from enhanced support and an expanded range of services, and for our team, who will gain career opportunities and resources, all while continuing to run the business with the same leadership and principles that have driven our success since 2007.”

Ed Phillips, group chief executive of Lomond, added: “Liverpool is a strategically important market for Lomond, and Homesure is exactly the kind of business we look to partner with: strong local roots, a respected team and values that closely align with our own. Their consistent growth and client-first approach make them an excellent fit for the Group, and we’re pleased to support the team as they continue to build on the solid foundations already in place.”

Lomond’s acquisition of Homesure Property marks its second deal of the year, following the purchase of Prospect Estate Agency.

Prospect, an independent lettings and estate agency operating across Berkshire, Surrey and Hampshire, was founded more than 35 years ago by directors Colin Wells and James May. The business has grown from a single branch in Bracknell to a network of 10 offices managing more than 3,500 properties.

Headquartered in a recently refurbished 5,500 sq ft office in central Reading, Prospect has joined Lomond’s portfolio of 12 brands, extending the group’s presence across the Home Counties.

Paul Clarke, regional chief revenue officer, Lomond, noted: “Lomond’s model of identifying exceptional businesses and preserving what makes them unique, while providing powerful behind-the-scenes support and additional benefits to staff and clients, will be showcased perfectly through Homesure. I’m excited to see the team continue to thrive as part of the Group.”
