A record 27 car carriers were spotted at Lucid Motor’s (LCID) manufacturing plant, loaded with Gravity and Air models ready for delivery as the year-end push heats up.
Lucid EVs ready for delivery amid year-end goal
After cutting its production guidance for the year from 20,000 to a range of 18,000 to 20,000 following Q2 earnings, Lucid has stood by its goal. Well, for the most part.
During the 53rd Annual Nasdaq Investor Conference earlier this month, interim CEO Marc Winterhoff confirmed that Lucid is still on track to hit the lower end of its production guidance for the year at around 18,000.
Although Winterhoff admitted that Gravity production has not been where the company wanted it to be up to this point, he said output is ramping up at Lucid’s Casa Grande, Arizona, manufacturing plant. The electric SUV is expected to account for the majority of production and deliveries in the fourth quarter.
Through the first nine months of 2025, Lucid has produced 9,966 vehicles, meaning it will need to build over 8,000 more to hit its goal.
It appears Lucid is up to the challenge. Recent drone footage from Lucid Flys shows a record number of car carriers at Lucid’s AMP1 Arizona plant, piled with Gravity and Air EVs ready for delivery.
The video shows 25 carriers in the lot, but the reporter said he saw another two pull in as he was leaving, bringing the total to 27.
If Lucid is building 200 cars a day, it would equal a weekly production rate of 1,000 vehicles. Winterhoff said earlier this month that Lucid now has “weeks where we are producing 1,000 vehicles,” but how consistent it will be is the determining factor.
A production rate of 1,000 would be impressive, but the reporter expects it to be closer to around 800 with Gravity output ramping up.
If Lucid can hit its goal of building 18,000 vehicles this year, it would be about double the roughly 9,000 it made in 2025. We will learn more soon as Lucid is expected to release Q4 and full-year 2025 production and delivery numbers in early January. Check back for the latest updates.
