Martin & Co Worcester & Gloucester has announced the strategic acquisition of Hills Estate Agents, the independent agency located next door to its Worcester office.

It’s the first acquisition for director Nirvair Sander since taking over the franchise in November 2021 and it significantly grows the company’s lettings portfolio by over 300 properties.

The Hills brand will be integrated into Martin & Co, with the combined operation working from the existing Martin & Co Worcester office.

Sander commented on the deal: “Hills Estate Agents, located next door to our office, presented an ideal strategic fit. The proximity enables us to offer seamless service, and their property portfolio closely mirrors our own, ensuring consistency and familiarity for both teams and clients. With a strong and steady team in place, now was the opportune moment to grow.”

The retention of the experienced team at Hills was essential, Sander added: “A key component of the deal was retaining. Their local expertise and client relationships are invaluable, and we’re pleased they will play a central role in our future.”

A smooth transition is a top priority, he continued, with both teams working closely to ensure uninterrupted service for all landlords and tenants.

Toby Philips, group managing director of Martin & Co, commented on the acquisition: “We are thrilled to see Nirvair and his team take this ambitious step. This acquisition exemplifies the entrepreneurial spirit we foster within the Martin & Co network. Combining a strong local independent like Hills with the national power and resources of the Martin & Co brand is a proven formula for success, and we are confident this will deliver outstanding results for clients in Worcester and Gloucester.”

Sander is focused on the future. “Our long-term aim is to be the leading estate agent in the area, known for our innovation, reliability, and commitment to our landlords, tenants, buyers, and sellers alike. We are excited about the future and confident that this merger will bring positive change for all involved.”
