The Met Office has issued an amber alert as hurricane force winds as Storm Bram is set to batt the UK.
The rare amber alert is in place for tomorrow evening as heavy rain and strong winds will hit the northwest coast and there are warnings for potential road closures.
The rare amber alert in place from 4pm on Tuesday and will last until midnight which will affect Highlands & Eilean Siar, and Strathclyde.
The Met Office has also issued yellow weather warnings for the War coast to Land’s End in Cornwall.
There is a “slight chance of power cuts and “loss of other services” to homes and businesses and there could be “fast flowing or deep floodwater is possible, causing a danger to life.”
The Met Office warned, “Storm Bram will bring a spell of very strong and disruptive winds to northwest Scotland on Tuesday night.”
“A short spell of very strong southwesterly winds are expected to develop as Storm Bram passes close to northwest Scotland on Tuesday evening and night.
“Gusts of 70-80 mph are expected for a few hours with a chance that a few places may experience gusts of up to 90 mph.
“Heavy rain will accompany these strong winds and may exacerbate impacts.”
