The Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Olesksandr Syrskyi has said that Vladimir Putin has increased his troop strength to 710,000 as they are preparing for a strategic offensive in Ukraine.

The commander said the frontline is difficult and even though Russia has “sustained” more than 1.1 million casualties the Russian army will not stop their offensive, despite not achieving any operational success.

Former Ukrainian Marine and author of Live, Fight, Survive wrote on X, “Interesting, given that after nearly four years of fighting he hasn’t achieved a single one of his objectives, remains bogged down in the Donbas, has sustained around 1.1 million Russian casualties, and now sees the “motherland” bombed daily.”

The Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine said, “To conduct a strategic offensive operation, the enemy has increased its forces to about 710,000 personnel.

“Despite significant losses, the Russian army is not abandoning its offensive operations, although it has not achieved any significant operational successes.”

He added, “Ukrainian units are holding their ground and taking the initiative.

“As a result of counteroffensive actions, they regained control of 16 square kilometers in the northern part of the city.

“They also recaptured 56 square kilometers of territory in the areas of the settlements of Hryshyne, Kotlyne, and Udachne, west of Pokrovsk.”
