In the Russian cities of Taganrog and an oil refinery in Samara explosions have been reported and Russia has accused Ukraine of a “terrorist attack.”
At the oil refinery it has been confirmed the explosion was “caused by a bomb,” Alexander Khinshtein, the Samara MP said.
The Kuibyshev oil refinery is one of Russia’s largest refineries and pumps out around 140,000 barrels a day and the local MP said no serious damaged was caused and there are no casualties.

He wrote on Telegram, “Fortunately there is no serious damage and no casualties,” and Russian state media have said a person has been arrested.
Russia‘s ministry of defence issued a statement on Friday afternoon accusing Ukraine for the explosion in the city of Taganrog.

The statement reads: “The Kyiv regime carried out a terrorist attack with an anti-aircraft missile of the S-200 air defence system converted into a strike version on the residential infrastructure of the city of Taganrog, Rostov Region.
“Russian air defense systems detected a Ukrainian missile and intercepted it in the air.”
It continues: “Fragments of a downed Ukrainian missile fell on the territory of Taganrog.
“As a result of the terrorist attack committed by the Kyiv regime, several buildings were damaged, and there were also victims among civilians.”
Taganrog is a port city on the Black Sea and has a population of approximately 250,000 and is near to Rostov-on-Don.
