The war in Ukraine is seeing some the fiercest fighting to date as Russia has thrown a “large number of storm groups” in the battlefield and there is “almost no life left.”

Moscow has been accused of using “scorched earth tactics” and the Kyiv appointed governor in Donetsk said that Vladimir Putin is waging a war which has no rules.

Russian artillery and all other types of shells are “hitting their own troops” and thousands “have been lost” most likely on both sides amid the constant bombardment in Soledar.

The Kremlin are sending thousands of fighters including Wagner Group mercenaries and soldiers are literally “stepping over the bodies” of their own.

The Ukrainian Deputy Defence Minister Hanna Malyar, said Russia are throwing “a large number of storm groups” into the battlefield in the Donetsk region.

She added, “The enemy is advancing literally on the bodies of their own soldiers and is massively using artillery, rocket launchers and mortars, hitting their own troops.”

Malyar continued, “The enemy literally step over the corpses of their own soldiers, using massed artillery, MLRS systems and mortars.”

President Volodymyr Zelensky said that in Soledar in the Donetsk region “everything is completely destroyed, there is almost no life left.”

Zelensky said, “The whole land near Soledar is covered with the corpses of the occupiers and scars from the strikes.”

The Ministry of Defence said, over the past four days, Russian and Wagner mercenary forces have made tactical advances into the small town of Soledar, and they are “likely in control of most of the settlement.”

The MoD, added, “Despite the increased pressure on Bakhmut, Russia is unlikely to envelop the town imminently because Ukrainian forces maintain stable defensive lines in depth and control over supply routes.”
