Early on Saturday morning NATO warplanes were scrambled over Poland after Russia launched hundreds of drones and missiles.
Vladimir Putin launched a massive attack on Ukraine which comes after the US President Donald Trump issued a warning to the Russian dictator that he risks “big trouble” after violating Estonian airspace.
A total of 580 drones of various types, with 40 cruise and ballistic missiles that targeted Dnipro, Chernihiv, Mykolaiv, Zaporizhzhia, Poltava, Odesa, Sumy, Kharkiv and the capital, Kyiv.
The Ukrainian President, Volodymyr Zelensky said, “I thank all our warriors who defended the skies throughout the night, and our F-16 pilots, who once again proved their prowess today and effectively countered the cruise missile threat against Ukraine.”
Three people were killed in the Russia aerial bombardment and dozens of residents were injured.
