Overnight NATO jets were scrambled as Russia launched a “massive” and “brutal” attack across Ukraine.
At least four people were killed including a 12-year-old girl as Vladimir Putin ordered Tu-95MS nuclear capable strategic long-range bombers from the Arctic.
“The body of a female, initially believed to be a 12-year-old girl, was found in the rubble of the attack in the Solomianskyi district,” said Timur Tkachenko, head of Kyiv’s military administration.
Poland’s operation commander ordered NATO fighter jets to the Ukrainian border, “due to the activity of long-range Russian air forces conducting strikes on Ukrainian territory, Polish and allied air forces have begun operating in our airspace.
“The Operational Commander of the Polish Armed Forces has activated the forces and resources at his disposal. Duty fighter pairs have been scrambled, and ground-based air defence and radar reconnaissance systems have reached the highest level of alert.
“These actions are preventative in nature and aimed at securing airspace and protecting citizens, especially in areas adjacent to the threatened areas.” Ukraine’s emergency service said civilians were targeted – the day after Russian warmongering foreign minister Sergei Lavrov said they never did so.

“This vile attack took place practically as the conclusion of the UN General Assembly week, and this is exactly how Russia declares its real position. Moscow wants to continue fighting and killing and deserves only the harshest pressure from the world. The Kremlin benefits from continuing this war and terror as long as there is money from energy and a shadow fleet operates.
We will continue to strike back to deprive Russia of these opportunities to earn and force it to diplomacy. Everyone who wants peace must support President Trump’s efforts and stop any Russian imports. The time for decisive action has long come, and we count on a strong reaction from the USA, Europe, the G7, and the G20.”
