An American inspired estate agents has launched on the Wirral.

Gilded Goose will offer a bespoke service for house buying and selling, creating a personalised ‘partnership’ between the agent and the homeowner for a ‘better experience that people deserve’.

Owner of Gilded Goose Jesse Behan, 31, trained in real estate in California, working there and in Florida before moving to the UK last year.

He says he established his company after his first-time buying journey here in the UK fell far below what he says customers should expect.

“I noticed that simple things that could easily be communicated to me weren’t,” said Behan. “I was the one chasing for updates – and making people do their jobs, which is shocking!

“Buying a new home is the most important and expensive purchase people make in their lives, and they deserve a better experience.

“I looked at multiple properties, and it was the same with different high street estate agencies. There is a big gap there.”

Behan has launched Gilded Goose in Wirral but is offering his new model of service across Liverpool, Cheshire and Chester, with eventual hopes of expanding it more widely. The primary focus being on detached and bespoke properties, but not limited too.

Becoming a property partner to his clients, Behan says he will:

+ Offer staging support, working with local companies to enhance and encourage a house sale

+ Give advice on ways a house might be made more sellable

+ Be available for viewings at weekends ‘when most people can and want to see properties’

+ Work around clients’ schedules, meeting them at home, in a coffee shop or even at their office – ‘whatever is most convenient or comfortable for them’

Behan adds that he is working with local solicitors and local mortgage advisors to develop a comprehensive and integrated ‘exceptional service that will set me apart’, and give back to the communities in which people are looking to live or sell in.

As the estate agency evolves, Behan will host Open House events if desired by a homeowner and will always pay attention to detail, however small, to ensure a superior level of service.

He continued: “On completion, it’s not hard to drop the keys off. It’s not hard to meet the owners at their new door and say welcome instead of, when moving day is stressful enough, expecting them to go to collect their own keys.

“It’s saying, why don’t I try to alleviate some of the stress for you?

“I will 100% go above and beyond to make sure everybody is communicated with appropriately, and that their home is marketed appropriately; and at the end of the day, I will do everything in my power to get people the most money for their property.

“I’m someone who cares about, and is passionate about, someone buying or selling their home.

“And I’m bringing the US model to the UK, to ensure every client leaves happy.”
