Newcastle fans will today be able to celebrate the club’s first major trophy in 70 years as their Carabao Cup trophy is paraded through the city.

Initial plans to mark the success did not include an open-top bus parade, but fan backlash will see the squad and manager Eddie Howe show off their new piece of silverware on a short route between St James’ Park and Town Moor, before an event in the park.

More than 100,000 people are expected to line the streets and attend the ‘Party on the Moor’ event, with the club reportedly stunned by the level of interest. It will be among the biggest events ever hosted in the city.

When is the open-top bus trophy parade?

Newcastle City Council have confirmed the trophy parade will start at 4.30pm today, Saturday, March 29, 2025.

The route is less than two miles, starting at St James’ Park and finishing at Town Moor, which is hosting an event which begins at 1.30pm.
