North Korea could be compensated with “technologies related to nuclear weapons” South Korea has warned.

South Korea’s permanent representative to the UN, Hwang Joon-kook said that North Korea will be expecting a “generous payment” from Vladimir Putin for sending thousands of troops to fight in Russia’s full-scale war with Ukraine.

Hwang warned, “North Korea expects generous payment from Moscow for its military involvement. This could include both financial and military assistance, as well as technologies related to nuclear weapons.”

NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte said on Monday that North Korea fighting Vladimir Putin’s was in Ukraine will mark a “significant escalation.”

NATO Secretary General said, “North Korea sending troops to fight alongside Russia in Ukraine would mark a significant escalation.”

The Yonhap news agency reported the South Korean President Yoon Suk Yeol said, “Russia’s invasion of Ukraine and the reckless military alignment between Russia and North Korea once again confirm that the security of the Indo-Pacific region and the Atlantic region are inextricably linked.

“This undermines the rules-based international order, threatening peace on the Korean Peninsula and globally, and the (South Korean) government will never stand by and let this happen.”

A “classified briefing” has been called as there is “urgency” as North Korean troops fighting in Ukraine crosses “red line for the US and NATO.”

The US House of Representatives has written to President Joe Biden calling for American intelligence agencies to advise over the details of North Korean troop movement.

North Korean troops fighting for Vladimir Putin in Ukraine will be the first time in history they would have fought on European soil.

The US House Intelligence Chairman Michael Turner warned that this will be “an extreme escalation” in the Ukrainian war and he has called for a “classified briefing” over the “broadening” of the war.
