Vladimir Putin has met with North Korea’s leader Kim Jong-un at the Vostochny spaceport in eastern Russia on Wednesday.
Kim Jong-un issued a warning to the West that they will offer Russia “full and unconditional support” in their war in Ukraine and towards any aggression Moscow faces.
Putin said that they discussed “economic cooperation” of a “humanitarian nature” and it is unlikely that what was really discussed will not be made public.
US officials have said it is most certain Putin would have asked for stock-piles of weaponry to be used in Ukraine.

Kim told reporters that Russia is “waging a sacred fight to defend its sovereignty”, and they will protect its “security interests” topromote “justice against the hegemonists,” referencing the US.
The North Korean dictator added, “We have always expressed full and unconditional support for the actions taken by the Russian government.
“I take this opportunity to affirm that we will always stand with Russia on the anti-imperialist front.”
The Russian despot said that he was “very glad” that he has met with the North Korean leader.
Downing Street called on North Korea to end talks over the sale of weapons to Russia.
A Number 10 spokesperson said, “We urge the DPRK to cease its arms negotiations with Russia and to abide by public commitments Pyongyang has made not to sell arms to Russia.
“This visit serves to highlight Russia’s isolation on the global stage, and as the world unites against Putin’s illegal invasion of Ukraine he has been forced to turn to regimes such as North Korea.”
Russia’s Defence Minister said on Wednesday that Moscow has “no other options” but to win the war in Ukraine.
Sergei Shoigu said Russian troops are “maintaining active defence on the necessary, essential fronts” in Ukraine.
Shoigu confirmed their autumn campaign was under way, he added, “I can say that the lads and the commander are performing confidently, and reliably defending what we need to defend at the moment.”
