The National Residential Landlords Association (NRLA) has formed a new partnership with ArcAirTech, a company specialising in mould remediation and air purification, to support landlords in meeting upcoming regulatory changes, including Awaab’s Law and the extension of the Decent Homes Standard to the private rented sector.
ArcAirTech offers technology designed to reduce mould spores, volatile organic compounds (VOCs), and other airborne pollutants in residential properties. These systems aim to help landlords address health and safety concerns related to indoor air quality and damp, in line with forthcoming legal requirements.
The partnership comes as new rules under Awaab’s Law are expected to require private landlords to resolve damp and mould issues within set timeframes. The updated Decent Homes Standard will also place more responsibility on landlords to ensure rental properties are free from serious hazards.
