Oxfordshire-based property firm Finders Keepers is today holding a ‘Day of Joy’ – a special one-day event dedicated to spreading cheer in the community this Christmas.

Working with Missing Bean, a local independent coffee shop, Finders Keepers will be treating residents, shoppers and local workers across Oxfordshire to free coffee as a “small gesture of thanks and joy” in the run up to Christmas.

This festive initiative is taking place from 8am, when the Missing Bean cafés open, and will run throughout the morning. The local property agency aims to warm up the holiday season by giving out free coffee and will also encourage recipients to “pay the joy forward” by donating to local charity, Sobell House Hospice.

“As a local business, we value the sense of community we share with our residents, and we wanted to find a way to spread joy this festive season,” said Victoria Lyall, head of marketing at Finders Keepers.

“We have partnered with Missing Bean in the past and with their most recent coffee shop opening directly opposite our most recently opened branch in Woodstock, this was a great opportunity to work together again – we just decided to do it on a bigger scale across the whole county this time!”

Finders Keepers team members will also be fundraising in-office with bake sales and Christmas jumper days to raise more funds for Sobell House Hospice.

Emma Croft-Pearson, associate director at Finders Keepers, said: “Our team is always keen to fundraise and give back to the communities that we have been part of for over 50 years.

“This initiative will hopefully spark joy as well as raise vital funds for a superb local charity, and Finders Keepers has committed to fund-match the total raised on this Day of Joy.”

Ori Halup from Missing Bean added: “We’re delighted to be part of this joyful day. It’s a simple but meaningful way to say thank you to the community who have supported local businesses throughout the year. We’re excited to be part of spreading joy across Oxfordshire!”
