Peter Knight, founder of the EA Masters and Property Academy, has purchased a shareholding in Relocation Agent Network (RAN)

Founded 29 years ago, RAN was acquired earlier this year by Realogist Limited, whose directors are Simon Whale, Kevin Ellis, Richard Durrant and Ian Stratford, with Durrant assuming the role of managing director. The new structure sees Ellis and Stratford exit the business.

Knight commented: “I’ve been a big admirer of RAN for many years, having had the honour of being invited to talk at their conferences a number of times. The network has always stood out to me for its commitment to quality over quantity resulting in a group of members dedicated to providing a first-class service, something that I’ve been keen to recognise within the industry.

“I had a number of meetings with Simon and Richard and their vision for the network is exciting whilst being respectful of what has made RAN so important to so many people.”

Ellis said: “Given our long association with RAN, since acquiring the business earlier this year we have worked tirelessly to solidify the business and benefits to the Members so that the Network has a strong foundation on which to build on moving forward.

“Given the market climate, our own Land & New Homes Network has seen significant growth and with Peter keen to work with RAN for some time, we felt now was the perfect opportunity to pass the baton on. We wish everyone in RAN the very best as we have some great friends in the network and we’ll continue to talk with the team to explore opportunities together..”

Whale added: “I think it’s clear to anyone who’s been around the industry that there’s been no one more involved in developing events and community than Peter over the last two decades. Creating the Property Academy, EA Masters and Best Estate Agent Guide, he’s always been at the forefront of collaboration to raise standards as well as a staunch defender of the industry, exemplified by his founding Agents Giving charity.”
