The chief operating officer of the PGA Tour, Ron Price, will be among the witnesses to testify at a July 11 Senate hearing about the tour’s deal with Saudi Arabia-backed LIV Golf. Price and Jimmy Dunne, a board member of the PGA Tour, will appear at a hearing titled “The PGA-LIV Deal: Implications for the Future of Golf and Saudi Arabia’s Influence in the United States,” to be held by the Senate Permanent Subcommittee on Investigations. Sens. Richard Blumenthal, the Connecticut Democrat who chairs the panel, and Ron Johnson of Wisconsin, its top Republican, had also requested testimony from Greg Norman, CEO of LIV Golf, and Yasir al-Rumayyan, who will oversee Saudi Arabia’s financial investments in the new golf entity. Norman and al-Rumayyan are unavailable to testify on July 11, due to scheduling conflicts, and the senators said they are working to find an alternate date.
