Overnight two drones entered Polish airspace, they were not shot down as the posed no danger, the Armed Forces Operational Commander Maciej Klisz said on Thursday.
Poland’s General Staff Chief Wieslaw Kukula said the drones then left Polish airspace and caused no damage.
Overnight Russia launched another deadly attack in western and central Ukraine which saw the two drones enter Poland’s territory.
Air defences wee placed on full alter during the overnight attack and Dutch F-35jets were scrambled to help assist keeping a watch over Poland, the Armed Forces Operational command confirmed.
Reuters reported Klisz saying, “We had two airspace violations.
“These two violations were under the full control of national forces and units assigned to the state defense system.”
Over the past 24 hours at least 15 civilians were killed and 26 were injured by Russia’s aggression with strikes across Ukraine.
Russia launched 112 Shahed attack drones, decoy drones and Ukraine’s Air Force said air defences intercepted 84.
