The recent Voice of The Agent industry report carried out by Unchained Insight has revealed some interesting findings into estate agency industry bodies awareness.

Of 2,000 adults surveyed across the nation, 33% were not aware of any specific industry bodies but when it came to recognition, The FIA came out ahead of some well-established names including The Guild of Property Professionals, Relocation Agent Network and Propertymark.

For bodies that were recognised of the 2,000 participants, the results were as follows:

RICS 42%

NAEA 13%

ARLA   9%

UKALA   8%

BPF   7%

The FIA   7%

Propertymark   6%

The Guild   4%

ARAM   4%

RAN   3%

Simon Leadbetter, founder of We Are Unchained, said: “The results are fascinating and The FIA did well. I believe FIA, Guild, and RAN represent branding superpowers for independent agents. Propertymark, NAEA, and ARLA are branding superpowers for all their members—big and small. These organisations provide access to the resources large corporates take for granted , giving them a point of difference in a commoditised market.”

Graham Lock, chief executive of The FIA said ‘RICS aside, we clearly have some way to go for the public to recognise the groups mentioned in the survey but at the same time I’m proud that within a comparably short period of time The FIA leads the way for recognition ahead of some long-standing and established names within the industry, this is testament to the growing awareness of The FIA brand, the top quality of our independent members and the niche that we are carving out within the sector.”
