The Ukrainian President said on Saturday afternoon that Vladimir Putin must withdraw all his forces from all Ukrainian borders there were in place before the war started on 24 February 2022.
President Volodymyr Zelensky said “I hope” that the US President Donald Trump will be on “our side” and will push Putin from “all our territory.”
Speaking to Newsmax TV channel Zelensky said, “And of course, when we talk about a just peace for Ukraine, we understand that we do not have the power to push them out from all our territory.
“Yes, we have to push them out with diplomacy and with our partners, but not to lose. And that is why I think that, at a minimum, they have to go to the line before a full-scale invasion.”
He added, “I think that he [President Trump] needs very much the success. Otherwise, you know, everybody will say that that was the line of Biden, and this is the line of Trump.
“I think that he needs success, and we need success, and we trust him. I hope that he will be on our side.”

President Zelensky also said it is important for us to meet with Trump before he speaks with Putin to start negotiations.
He said at the Munich Security Conference, “I think that it would be dangerous if the first meeting is with Putin and then with Ukraine. And, this thing, I shared with President Trump, I said that first of all, we have to see a common view.”
The Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk said on Saturday afternoon that EU countries must develop a joint action plan for their own security and Ukraine quickly.
Tusk wrote on X, “Europe urgently needs its own plan of action concerning Ukraine and our security, or else other global players will decide about our future. Not necessarily in line with our own interest.
“This plan must be prepared now. There’s no time to lose.”
Speaking on Security guarantees President Zelensky said the plan for 2025 is to continue putting pressure on Moscow by any means required to achieve peace.
President Zelensky to the Munich conference, “We are working on this, we will prepare security guarantees as we see them, we will share them with the United States.
“I hope that they will also share their views. The approach is very important for us, for all European partners, for the EU, plus Great Britain, which is our important partner.”
