Vladimir Putin has stolen more than $100 million from Google’s bank account in Moscow which will be used “to support Russia’s war in Ukraine.”

New court documents filed in the US shows that Russian authorities “seized” Google’s money from their bank account in Moscow in 2022 around the time Putin invaded Ukraine.

This therefore bankrupted Google’s subsidiary and then in 2023 the global tech giant pulled all operations out of Russia.

The money which was taken by Putin’s bailiffs was given to Russian state media channels such as Tsargrad which received one billion rubles and Russia Today who are vital with their propaganda for the Kremlin.

Google has filed lawsuits against the two Russian state TV channels including NFPT in the UK and US courts, the Telegraph reports.

The court documents say, “The bailiffs seized more than $100m of Google Russia’s assets, even though the amount purportedly due under the judgement at the time was less than $12.5m (one billion roubles).

“Tsargrad received one billion roubles from the seizure, which it said it would use to support Russia’s war in Ukraine.”
