The Security Service of Ukraine has warned Vladimir Putin that the Crimea bridge that links the annexed peninsula to Russia is “doomed.”

The head of the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) Vasyl Maliuk said that the Crimea bridge which was built illegally and cost a billion dollars is the most protected bridge in the world.

However, the SBU warned that maritime drones and long-range cruise missiles has actually proved otherwise with many attacks over the past months.

Maliuk said, “We have destroyed the myth of the invincibility of russia. This is a fake country. The bridge is doomed.

“Many surprises are ahead, and not only regarding the Crimean Bridge.”

Ukrainian forces have been successful in attacking the Kerch Bridge which has on numerous occasions cut the logistics artery to supply Russian forces with weaponry and supplies, and now Moscow are using ferries to send vital equipment to Ukraine.

Maliuk added, “We have essentially revolutionized the philosophy of naval operations.”

He said that the “Sea Baby” was created by the SBU and is not just a naval drone, but it is a multi-purpose platform.

Ukrainian forces have been bombing military installations inside Crimea for more than a year and successfully blew up Russia’s newest warship this month.

Ukraine’s strategic communications directorate said: “Confirmed. The Russian missile carrier ‘Askold’ – the newest ship of the ‘Karakurt’ project with ‘stealth’ technology was damaged due to the damage of the naval and port infrastructure of the ‘Zaliv’ plant in the temporarily occupied Crimea.”

Also this month Ukrainian special forces commandos conducted a raid in Crimea on Russia’s Black Sea Fleet in the latest series of strikes.

In recent months Russia’s Black Sea Fleet in Crimea has been decimated by Ukrainian attacks. Ukraine’s Main Directorate of Intelligence (GUR) said two landing ships were damaged and each vessel can hold up to 92 soldiers.

The GUR said: “As a result of a night operation on the territory of the temporarily occupied Crimea, small landing ships of the Black Sea Fleet of the Russian Federation were damaged by soldiers.”

It added: “The ships were carrying a crew and loaded armoured vehicles, including BTR-82.

Andriy Yusov the representative of the Main Intelligence Agency of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine confirmed the information.

Yusov said, “Yes, this information is true. A successful operation of the Main Intelligence Agency in cooperation with other components of the Security and Defense Forces.

“Two landing craft are damaged. And this operation will continue.”
