Vladimir Putin has warned Europe that should they provoke Russia there will be a quick response.
The Russian dictator said that over the centuries Russia has proven that they respond quickly when provoked, he then took aim at Germany over their attempts to become the most powerful army in the continent.
Putin told Valdai Discussion Group in the Black Sea resort of Sochi, “If anyone still has a desire to compete with us in the military sphere, as we say, feel free, let them try.
“Russia’s countermeasures will not be long in coming.
“The elites of united Europe continue to whip up hysteria.
“It turns out that war with the Russians is almost on the threshold. They repeat this nonsense, this mantra over and over again.”
Putin told the group in Sochi that Russian will not attack NATO, this is “impossible to believe” he said.
The Russian despot added, “Genuinely, I just want to say: cool down, sleep calmly, and take care of your own problems. Just take a look at what’s happening on the streets of European cities.”
Putin suggested that NATO is a “paper tiger” in a swipe at the US President.
“A paper tiger. What follows then? Go and deal with this paper tiger,” Putin said. “Well if we are fighting with the entire NATO bloc, we are moving, advancing, and we feel confident, and we are a ‘paper tiger’, then what is NATO itself?”
“If anyone still has a desire to compete with us in the military sphere, as we say, feel free, let them try,” Putin said.
