Vladimir Putin’s favourite President, Donald Trump has defended Russia’s missile and drone attacks in Ukraine saying it’s “what anybody else would do.”

It is looking increasingly likely that President Trump “could be a Russian asset,” a British MP, Graham Stuart warned last week.

It is quite possible that Trump has been groomed since the 80s by the Kremin’s security services, he said in an interview with the Kyiv Independent.

President Trump has claimed that Russia is far easier to deal with than Ukraine and he claims that Putin “wants to end the war… and I think he’s going to be more generous than he has to be.”

On Friday evening Trump said in the Oval Office, “I think we’re doing very well with Russia and right now they’re bombing the hell out of Ukraine.”

Trump added, “I’m finding it more difficult, frankly, to deal with Ukraine and they don’t have the cards … I find that in terms of getting a final settlement, it may be easier dealing with Russia, which is surprising, because they have all the cards.”

“They’re bombing the hell out of them [Ukraine] right now. And I put out … a very strong statement … We’re trying to help them and Ukraine has to get on the ball and get a job done.”

Trump was asked if Putin is taking advantage now that the US has stopped intelligence sharing and cut all military aid, he said the Russian dictator is “doing what anybody else would do.”

He said that he trusts Putin and he really believes that the Russian tyrant “wants to end the war” in Ukraine, but as yet, there is no visible evidence supporting this as the missiles keep bombarding Ukraine.

He said, “I think I do know how to end the war … I’ve always had a good relationship with Putin. He wants to end the war. He wants to end it.”

“I think he’s going to be more generous than he has to be. That’s pretty good. That means a lot of good things.”

Trump then sent President Volodymyr Zelensky a warning, “I don’t know that they want to settle. If they don’t want to settle, we’re out of there.”
