James Nicholls

Kauffmans, a strategic central London real estate consultancy, has appointed James Nicholls as director in its capital markets team.

Nicholls joins from Avison Young, where he was a director of its central London capital markets team, working primarily with private investors from the UK and Asia. He has spent 16 years acting within the City of London, developing deep expertise across its markets.

Nicholls brings with him over a decade of experience in major deals including 85 London Wall, EC2 a £35m acquisition for the City of London Corporation, 75 King William Street, EC4 a £128m acquisition for a Chinese consortium, and most recently 76-80 Old Broad Street, EC2.

Nicholls said: “Having worked with Kauffmans’ co-founders on various projects over the years, I’m genuinely excited for this next step in my career. The support I’ve had from colleagues, clients and agents in congratulating me on this move has been remarkable and is a testament to Kauffmans’ reputation within the market.”

Marsha Rabinovich, co-founder and director of Kauffmans said: “James is a key strategic appointment for the business, and we are delighted to welcome him to the company.

“His deep understanding of investor priorities, combined with his track record of identifying opportunities, perfectly aligns with Kauffmans’ mission to maximise value for clients transforming mixed-use environments.

“Our next steps are to build our leasing and asset management teams further to bolster the full breadth of our services as the market continues to bounce back.”
