Miller Rose has officially launched in Birmingham following a management buyout led by estate agent Andy Butts.
The business, which opens its doors today, brings together a team with more than 100 years of combined experience across residential agency, lettings, new homes, investment, land and development consultancy.
Butts spent 13 years in senior leadership and operational board positions at Centrick, most recently as new homes and investments director, where he also led the expansion of the company’s international operations across Asia and the Middle East in 2022.
Miller Rose is positioned to continue that global reach from day one, serving local clients in Birmingham and beyond.
Named after Butts’ two children, the agency will offer a connected service platform spanning residential sales and lettings, new homes, investment property, land services and development consultancy.
“We’ve built something that works across the full property journey,” said Butts. “One connected team handles sales, lettings, investment, land and development because these things are interlinked. Your lettings strategy affects your investment return, buyer motivations influence pricing, and land acquisition only works when the sales team understands what genuinely sells.”
The founding team includes five professionals from Centrick’s new homes, land and investment division, alongside two senior industry hires who strengthen the agency’s lettings and development consultancy capability. Among them is Stuart Macdiarmid, who joins as sales and lettings director.
“Whether you’re a family selling a home or an international investor entering the UK market, you need a team that understands the full picture,” Butts added. “Investment fundamentals, local lettings trends, regulation, management quality and long-term resale value don’t live in separate departments and our clients shouldn’t have to navigate them separately.”
