Former Wales and Scarlets scrum half Gareth Davies’ estate agency Blackbear has announced the acquisition of Chandler Rogers, a well-established name in the West Wales property market.

The move is part of Blackbear’s broader growth strategy, which centres on strategic acquisitions and franchise expansion across Wales.

Martyn Roger’s, director of Chandler Rogers, said: “Chandler Roger’s has always been about trust, service, and local knowledge. From our very first conversations, it was clear that Jamie and the Blackbear team shared those values and had the vision to build on them. This deal ensures that our legacy continues, while opening the door to new opportunities for our clients and community.”

Jamie Barnett, operational director of Blackbear, commented: “We’re proud to welcome Chandler Rogers into Blackbear. It’s a name with deep roots in the community and a reputation built over many years. From day one, Martyn has been a fantastic partner, and we hope to see him involved with Blackbear again in the future. This acquisition strengthens our position as one of the fastest growing agencies in Wales and shows what’s possible when tradition and ambition come together.”

Simon John, director of growth at Blackbear added: “We are continually looking to enter new markets and are keen to hear from other agents in Cardiff, Bristol and beyond who may be considering retirement, or anyone looking to start their own agency through franchising the brand in new areas.”
