Following the resignation of British Defence Secretary Ben Wallace Russia has said “goodbye” to the man who is responsible for the contaminating Ukraine with “radiation.”
Ben Wallace sent a large shipment of depleted uranium high-explosive squash head shells which are known as Hesh rounds in the military which are used on the Challenger 2 main battle tank.
Earlier this year the UK donated a squadron of the Challenger 2 tanks to Ukraine and supplied the Hesh rounds that are amoured piercing munitions, which sparked anger in Moscow.

Maria Zakharova, Russian foreign ministry spokeswoman said on Thursday, “Let’s say goodbye to the character responsible for the contamination of Ukrainian lands with radiation through the supply of shells with depleted uranium to the Kyiv regime.”
The outgoing Ukrainian Defence Minister Oleksii Reznikov,thanked his “friend and colleague for his support” with the ongoing war in Ukraine.
“His authority has inspired other countries to join in assisting Ukraine,” he said on X, formerly known as Twitter.
The Prime Minister Rishi Sunak has appointed Grant Shapps as the new Defence Secretary after Ben Wallace resigned.
Shapps who is the former Energy Secretary who has no military experience will be overseeing the UK’s support to Ukraine.
This is now Shapps “fifth role in the Cabinet over the past year” and has never held any role in the Ministry of Defence.
Shapps said that he will continue with “the UK’s support for Ukraine in their fight against Putin’s barbaric invasion” and is “honoured” to take on his new position.
In a letter to the Prime Minister, Wallace said, “The Ministry of Defence is back on the path to being once again world class with world-class people.”
