Vladimir Putin has ordered troops to conduct mobile nuclear missile launcher drills and are rehearsing ways “to counter sabotage and reconnaissance groups.”

Russian media announced that the Yars system which has a range of 11,0000 Km can be loaded with a nuclear missile that carries multiple warheads.

Since the start of Putin’s invasion in February 2022 Russian forces have been undertaking a series exercises in Russia and abroad as tensions between Moscow and the West increase.

This is the second the Yars nuclear mobile launcher has been ordered to conduct drills in two months.

In early July exercises were conducted and in May Belarus joined in Russian troops in tactical nuclear exercises.

The Russian Ministry of Defence said, “Servicemen of the Yoshkar-Ola missile unit are carrying out missions including intensive manoeuvres on combat patrol routes.

“Yars missile crews are practising marches of up to 100 kilometres, spreading out the units, changing their field positions, and their engineering equipment, camouflaging efforts, and protection in combat.

“Also, strategic missile servicemen are rehearsing ways to counter sabotage and reconnaissance groups.”

Earlier this week the Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic warned that the West is actively “preparing for conflict” with Russia.

Vucic said the West is “not ready now” for war with Russia and Ukraine’s allies are “preparing much faster than some people would like to see.,” TASS reported.

Speaking to Pink TV Channel Vucic said, “The West would like to conduct warfare from a distance, through someone else, through investing money and so on, but at the moment they are not ready [for a direct conflict with Russia]. Will they be ready?

“They are not ready now, but I think they will be ready. They are already preparing for a conflict with the Russian Federation and they are preparing much faster than some people would like to see, in every sense.

“ We know that from the military preparations, we know how they’re going. And I want to tell you, they are preparing for a military conflict.”
