There are fears that Europe could be dragged into the Ukrainian war as a Russian missile entered NATO airspace.

Over the past four days Russia has launched a significant assault on Ukraine including the capital and Lviv on the Polish border.

Russian ballistic missiles are being used across Ukraine and one entered into Polish airspace on Sunday.

Poland confirmed that yet again Russia has violated their airspace near to the Polish town of Oserdów in the Lublin Voivodeship placing the region on high alert.

Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz, the head of the Ministry, said, “At 4:43, the airspace of the Republic of Poland was violated by one of the Russian missiles… It entered our country to a depth of 1,000-2,000 metres.”

He added, “If there was any indication that the Russian missile… was heading towards a target in Poland, it would be shot down.”

the Deputy Prime Minister said, “All actions have been taken to inform the most important people in the country… We are in contact with the Operational Command of the Armed Forces.”

Warsaw are on a war footing and are preparing for war with Russia as the government have increased their defence spending of their GDP and all troops are on a heightened readiness in response to Vladimir Putin’s war in Ukraine.

The head of military administration, Serhiy Popko wrote on Telegram, “The enemy continues massive missile terror against Ukraine. It does not give up its goal or destroying Kyiv at any cost.”

Lviv which is close to the Polish border had seven drones and 20 missiles bombarding their “critical infrastructure,” according to Popko.

Polish Armed Forces Operational Command (RSZ) warned their forces are on alert due to the “intensive long-range aviation activity of the Russian Federation tonight” and the ballistic missile strikes across Ukraine.

They said, “Polish and allied aircraft have been activated, which may result in increased noise levels, especially in the south-eastern part of the country.”
